INHIBITOR FOR SILICONE RUBBER

Inhibitors are used to set the pot life of addition cure silicone rubber, the preferred inhibitor compounds containing the hydroperoxy radical are tertiary butyl hydroperoxide, methylethylketone hydroperoxide, cumene hydroperoxide, 1,1,3,3,-tetramethylbutyl hydroperoxide and 2,5-dimethyl-2,5-dihydroperoxyhexane.

(2)LSR (BITOR-1 and BITOR-2)

(3)RTV2 (BITOR-3)

(4)PSA (BITOR-3)

Inhibitors BITOR-1 and BITOR-2 are pure silicone polymer-based inhibitors which control the activity of the Platinum catalyst. They are always used in production of HTV, LSR and RTV2. The typical dosage is 2 %.

The BITOR1000-3 is recommended to use 2% in addition cure RTV2 production
